Welcome to Driven Wild Goose Control

Driven Wild Goose Control is a Minneapolis based company that utilizes highly trained dogs as a humane and effective goose control solution. Our Minnesota goose control services empower clients throughout the Minneapolis metro area to ethically decrease the population of destructive Canada geese on their properties. Using the presence of dogs is a contemporary solution to environmental and safety issues presented by large goose populations.

Driven Wild dogs and their handlers safely and expertly get rid of geese using a technique called hazing. Hazing utilizes the fear that predators inflict on prey in the wild. Our dogs act as a natural predator of the nuisance geese, so they deter the birds from residing in the area without causing any harm. The dogs can clear even the most stubborn of geese from both land and water using this Minnesota goose deterrent. In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the ability to remove these birds from the water is vital to the success of any goose management program. Our tireless pups will not stop at the water’s edge; they will jump right in and get the job done. There are many alternative options for Minnesota goose control that come up short in this regard.

A Unique Approach to Goose Control

While there may be other options for goose control, including decoys, chemicals, and extermination of the geese, our technique of harassment is the only method that will force geese to leave the area quickly and stay away. The benefit to using dogs and maintaining an ongoing presence is twofold. The current resident geese will continue to feel the area is unsuitable for populating. In addition, no new geese will have an opportunity to settle in the area

Geese are intelligent birds, and they can easily spot attractive nesting and foraging locations. Their favorite features include short, well-maintained grass for feeding, a lack of natural predators, and a nearby body of water for security in case of a threat. This means that golf courses, city and regional parks, corporate campuses, and airport runways are all prime real estate for the Canada goose. However, no business or community is immune to the effects of these birds.

Driven Wild Provides a Humane Alternative

If geese frequent your property, you already know that they can be quite destructive to the otherwise peaceful habitat. They eat vegetation, leave droppings everywhere, and sometimes, they even become territorial towards humans. Within several weeks of our dogs establishing their presence, you will see geese begin to leave the area to find a more suitable habitat. By one estimate, it can take as little as one to two weeks of frequent visits before the geese start to avoid inhabiting your property.

An investment in Driven Wild’s services yields innumerable returns. The first thing you will likely notice is the drastic decrease in droppings and plummeting maintenance costs. For every dollar your organization spends on the control of geese, you could save up to $5.  But the savings are only one benefit of removing the geese and their droppings. You’ll also decrease the risk of contaminants caused by the droppings on your property. If they are not addressed, these droppings can enter soil and water and contaminate them with bacteria such as E.coli. Removing the geese prevents this potentially disastrous outcome.

In addition to the environmental concerns, our services can also keep your company’s customers and employees safe. They’ll feel at ease knowing they won’t unknowingly stumble upon a nest and be harassed by a mother goose. The surrounding community will be satisfied with your decision to use a humane, approved method to decrease the presence of geese. The use of dogs is the best Canada goose deterrent in Minnesota!
